LIFE MEMBERS GET-TOGETHER ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2006

    Devotees of Baba, the Life Members of Shri Sai Samiti Noida, hold an Annual General Meeting of this Registered Society every two years to pass annual accounts and elect their Managing Committee afresh. This year the meeting warmed up with cordiality under the tents in the plot adjacent to the rear of the temple. The Sansthan's Patrika is happy to present the speeches; they follow hereafter.

ADDRESS BY THE PRESIDENT
I welcome you all to the 3rd Annual General Body Meeting. I am very happy to see the increased number of life members present today than in the previous AGM. I see some of my old friends here & that makes me very happy. I do hope that every year we will see more & more life members participating not only in AGM but also get involved in day to day activities of the temple. Baba’s grace has been with us in abundance. Last 2 years have been filled with activities. I would like to inform the members that our temple probably is the first to obtain ISO 9001:2000 Certification. We now have Quality Management System, which clearly outlines the procedures to be followed for pooja, upkeep of Baba's Sanctum the administration of the temple, training of the staff and pandits. We have procedures for quality control of the prasad and also procedure for training of our employees. We also have procedures for functioning of Dharmartha Chikitsalya & Sai Vidya Niketan. We also have procedures to maintain devotees, suggestion and feed back handling. With all this we are trying to take this prestigious institution forward and set an example. We want to make this Baba's place unique & secular by nature. We want to celebrate all festivals of all religions as is done in Shirdi.Apart from taking care of the devotees' convenience and comforts we are now concentrating on 3 main 'sevas' which were close to Baba’s heart namely:

1. Anna–daan
We are making efforts to improve the quality of our 'prasad' at the time of Bhandara and providing nutritious meals to our students. We have in mind to offer mid-day meals to the deserving schools in the neighbourhood in the coming future.

2. Education
Sai Vidhya Niketan is the name of our school. It has been improving in quality from time to time. We have good & committed teachers as a result of which, it has great demand for more and more seats and has become very popular. We hope and pray by Baba’s grace that one day we will able to move to a more spacious place so that we are able to serve more children from the less privileged class. We are also running Yoga classes apart from Vocational training.

3. Medical facilities
We are treating about 200 patients every day. Our pathology department has made lots of progress. We now have X-ray and Ultrasound facilities. There is a lot of rush. In order to expand these services we are making all efforts to acquire the adjacent plot where the present meeting is held. We plan to start a polyclinic with a few beds for in-house treatment. We also plan to extend our facilities by coordinating with one or two reputed hospitals in Noida, so that complaints of a serious nature can be taken care of.

Coordinating with other Sai Baba Temples
We feel it is very necessary to form a federation of Baba Temples to learn from each other and also help each other. We have taken a few steps in this direction. With Baba’s grace, we hope to take further strides in this direction. In all this, I must thank my colleagues in the management committee & associates. But for their co-operative and coordinated efforts we would not have been able to reach where we are to-day. I also would like to thank all our employees & sevadars for their wholehearted support. May Baba bless them all in continuing these efforts. I also thank our Chartered Accountants for taking care of our accounts. I have a request for you my fellow Sai Bandhus. We need your help & cooperation in giving us constructive suggestions. More than that we are really short of hands. Whoever has the time & inclination are wholeheartedly welcome to serve this institution in whatever way possible. Lastly, we want to make this temple not just a beautiful temple that it already is. We want to make this an ideal institution for the future. We pray to Baba for His Grace & Blessings.
